Choosing games for your group
- Mixed skill levels: play net skins or a net Nassau so handicaps keep it fair.
- A foursome of friends: skins with carryovers plus greenies is a classic combination.
- Two teams: a best-ball Nassau with presses keeps every hole meaningful.
- Want it simple: skins alone, no carryovers, settles in seconds.
Other side games groups play
Beyond these three, golfers play plenty of other games: Wolf (a rotating "wolf" picks a partner or goes alone each hole), Bingo Bango Bongo (points for first on the green, closest once everyone's on, and first in the hole), and "junk" like sandies (par from a bunker) and barkies (par after hitting a tree). Weekend Skins focuses on skins, Nassau, and greenies, and does those well.
Settling up without the argument
The hardest part of side games is usually the math at the end: carryovers, presses, and who owes whom. Weekend Skins tracks it as you play with one tap per hole, then shows the fewest payments that settle the round. It records points only and never handles money.
